B i o g r a p h y
Is an Argentine born Italian tenor, based in London. He obtained his music teaching degree at the Superior Music Institute in his native Rosario. He then received his second degree in Specialisation in classical singing from the Accademia di direzione Musicale italiana in agreement with the National University of Perugia, Italy. He also studied speech therapy, philosophy, Latin and Linguistics, back in his native Argentina. When in London, he graduated from the City Lit Opera course.
At the age of sixteen he began to study singing with Liliana Villalba, from the city of Rosario. He continued to study with Graciela Mora in the same city. Later he enhanced his technique with the world renowned Maestro Sergio Tulián and repertoire with Julia Manzitti, in the city of Buenos Aires prior to moving and settling in London in 2010.
Fernando is a writer, lyricist and a versatile artist. He studied acting with Professor Mirko Buchin and ballet with professors Atilio Sánchez and Vasily Ostrovsky (emeritus dancer at the Kirov Theatre in Saint Petersburg). He studied jazz dance with professor Mabel Ribero, who actually resides and teaches in Germany. He also took tap lessons with professor Kelly Dugan.
At seventeen he was a member of the Theatrical-Lyrical Company of the Piedmontese Association. In 1997 he took part in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and then in 1998 in “Robin Hood, the musical” (awarded with four “Sea star”, Mar del Plata city) where he played “the minstrel” at the “Teatro Avenida” in the city of Buenos Aires. He was consequently called to play a part in the musical “El diluvio que viene” (“The coming flood”) starred by Juan Darthés.
In 1999 and 2000 he sang at the anniversary and memorial ceremonies of the bomb attacks against the “A.M.I.A” and the Embassy of Israel. This event was broadcasted by Channel 3 and Channel 5 of Rosario.
He has sung concerts in the most important auditoriums of the province of Santa Fe (“El Círculo” Theatre of Rosario, Cultural Center of the Province of Santa Fe, Santa Fe city) Entre Ríos province Theatre “Asociación Italiana” and city of Buenos Aires: Avenida Theatre (“Teatro Avenida”).
In 2009 he played Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Women Council Theatre of Rosario city, Argentina.
In Italy, he sang concerts at Piamontes Association in Turin, and the Universita per gli stranieri di Perugia, and the Sala dei Notari. His Calaf and his Turiddu are well acclaimed. Fernando specialises in the Italian Verismo (Realism) singing the leading roles of Turandot, Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana, Le Villi, Il Trovatore, I Pagliacci, Il Tabarro and Andrea Chenier and also Neapolitan canzonettas.
In the UK he sang at the National Opera Studio (Andrea Chenier Highlights) and performed a full house concert at the Bolivar Hall in Warren Street. In 2013 he sang along the "Armonia Mediterranea" Orchestra, in London, conducted by Antonio Pappano Riccio, receiving a standing ovation.
He as worked with Conductors such as Antonio Pappano Riccio, Peter Crockford, Mauricio Barra, Fernando Ciraolo and Jorge Manfredini.
